The immediate past secretary of the state government of Borno, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, has passed away.
Gov. Baba Umara Zulum’s SSG, Shuwa died on Saturday after a brief illness.
“He passed on at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, this evening.” Sources said.
According to reports, the former SSG is a seasoned administrator with a long-standing track record of working at both state and federal levels.
Recall that during a valedictory session a few days to 29th May 2023, Governor Zulum announced three days extension for the late SSG to remain in office after the dissolution of the entire cabinet.
Shuwa, born in 1958, was a seasoned administrator with an extensive record of work at the state and federal levels. The state government will soon announce his burial arrangements.
