Ex-NGX group chairman Abimbola Ogunbanjo laid to rest

The late Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group, has been interred at the family compound in Erunwon, situated in the Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The gathering saw the attendance of family members, friends, business partners, and associates who came together to pay their respects.

His friends and associates lauded Ogunbanjo for his altruism and the significant positive influence he exerted on numerous lives, expressing deep sorrow at his passing.

Earlier, a funeral service was conducted in his honor at the Church of Nativity in Ikoyi, Lagos, before his remains were transported to his hometown.

The solemn ceremony was graced by his spouse, children, other relatives, as well as friends and business associates. The service, attended by a large number of mourners, featured readings from the Holy Bible and renditions of poignant hymns.

Members of the Igbobi College alumni association were also present to honor one of their own.

Ogunbanjo tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident near the Nevada border in California, United States, on February 9. Also perishing in the crash were former Chief Executive of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, his wife Doreen, and their son Chizi.
