Ex-Tribune Editor, Tunde Busari bags appointment as Special Assistant, Community Communication to Osun Governor

Former Tribune Newspapers Editor and Publisher of TheTabloid.net, Tunde Busari has been appointed Special Assistant on Community Communication to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The appointment is contained in a letter signed by Secretary to the Osun State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye.

A native of Osogbo, the Osun State Capital, Busari attended Muslim Grammar School, Osogbo and Ilesa Grammar School, Ilesa. He bagged a Bachelors Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

A renowned journalist with strong focus on community related issues, culture and traditional institutions, Busari knows in person and at close quarters almost 90% of Traditional rulers in Yoruba land in the course of his active journalism practice.

Before founding TheTabloid.net, Busari built a flourishing career starting as a reporter growing to the ranks to become an editor with the following mainstream newspapers; Hallmark Newspaper, Saturday Tribune, Sunday Punch, National Life, National Mirror, The Nation on Sunday, Newswatch Times, Nigerian Tribune.

Speaking in an interview with NewsClick Nigeria on the appointment, Busari  said: “the development is a call to service, of which I am appreciative to the appointing authorities.”

He stated further that his being considered for the job in a state blessed with many qualified professionals makes it more of a privilege which, he promised, would be rewarded with expected commitment.

“It is an opportunity to make Osun State of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s dream an actuality within a short time. It is not about politics again after the November 27, 2022 inauguration; it is rather about serious business of democratic governance.”

Busari is National President, Muslim Grammar School, Osogbo Old Students Association and a member different social clubs, including the Osun Intercontinental Club.
