Pandemonium struck on Sunday evening in Ogun State after five armed men stormed the Ibara-Abekouta home of the Omo-Osagies’ and kidnapped Evelyn Omo- Osagie, a graduate of University of Benin (UNIBEN).

In what the family described like a scene from a movie, the five armed men stormed the house around evening while Evelyn was in the kitchen preparing dinner on a Father’s Day for the family.

Speaking exclusively to Newsclickng.com on the telephone, Evelyn’s elder brother, Clement said the armed men struck few minutes after he got off the phone with his Dad to wish him Happy Father’s Day around 7pm.

“I’m told the armed men numbering five must have been led into the house by two suspected neighbours. They demanded for money and when non was forthcoming, they became violent hitting my brother and Uncle with the butt of the AK-47 Assault rifle they came with. My uncle is seriously injured right now, same with my brother.

Continuing, he narrated that “They (armed men) thereafter seized and took away my sister…my parents are right now too distraught to speak. I’m told the armed men spoke in Hausa Language while barking out orders to the household because my brother understands Hausa, but we have to keep clear mind”.

Men of RRS, further finding by this newspaper revealed have visited the Omo-Osagies this morning to get first hand information after the incident was reported.

Newsclickng.com reports that the Omo-Osagies just moved into their home some seven months ago and had lived peacefully with neighbours until the peace they enjoyed in the neighbourhood was shattered last night.

Meanwhile, efforts by Newsclickng.com to reach the spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi was unsuccessful as repeated calls to his mobile phone was neither picked nor returned as at press time.
