Many people are feared dead following an explosion at the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) factory in the Kakuri Industrial area of Kaduna South Local Government, Kaduna State.
The blast, which occurred around 10 a.m. on Saturday, left several injured and claimed at least one life at the time of reporting.

Although DICON management has yet to issue an official statement on the cause, residents said the explosion was so powerful that it shook communities in Kaduna South and neighbouring Chikun Local Government Areas.
Military personnel swiftly cordoned off the factory and its surroundings, while emergency responders evacuated the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
