The funeral plans for the late actress and social media influencer Monalisa Ayobami Stephen have been made public by her family after her tragic demise last week.
The family claimed in a statement posted on her verified Instagram profile on Tuesday that Monalisa’s private interment is set for noon on Thursday, May 22, 2025, and that her last rituals will commence on that day.
According to reports, Monalisa battled low blood sugar and intestinal haemorrhage before passing away in Lagos on Tuesday, May 13. Seun Oloketuyi, the creator of the Best of Nollywood Awards, initially announced her death on Instagram.
He wrote, “Brand influencer Monalisa Ayobami Stephen is dead. She died yesterday in Lagos after losing the fight against low sugar and internal bleeding”
Though full details surrounding her health remain unclear, her death has left fans and followers in shock. Monalisa had previously opened up about struggling with depression and mental health issues.
