Renowned fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi has donated sewing machines to newly discharged corps members as part of the ActivateSuccess Foundation’s Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit (YEEP’25).
In an Instagram post, Vodi described the donation as a reflection of his dedication to supporting youth empowerment and fostering growth in the fashion industry.
The entrepreneur, who recently marked his 50th birthday with a star-studded celebration, shared that he started his successful brand, Vodi Tailors, using savings from his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) allowance.
Vodi expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and NYSC scheme for giving him the opportunity that sparked his entrepreneurial path.
Vodi, in a viral video, took the beneficiaries on a tour of his Fashion House, aiming to inspire young people to have bigger dreams for themselves in tailoring.
He wrote: “I started Vodi Tailors with my NYSC allowance. There is a story here with credit to the NYSC and the Federal Government. It was a special moment then when I got a chance to meet with NYSC members and immediate past corps members.
”One aspect of reflecting our commitment to the industry and its growth is in our community interventions. We donated sewing machines to the immediate past corps members under the ActivateSuccess Foundation’s Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit (YEEP’25)
”@activatesuccessfoundation We took the beneficiaries on a tour of our Fashion House. In seeing what’s possible, young people can have bigger dreams for themselves as they commit to a life of value creation in tailoring. Happy to collaborate with @loveidoko and her organization on this one.”
