Mohammed Bello, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated on Thursday in Abuja that the FCT now generates more than N200 billion annually.
Bello made the announcement to State House Correspondents during the 40th session of the State House Ministerial Briefing, which was organised by the Presidential Communications Team.
He stated that the FCT Administration currently generates N200 billion per year as part of an aggressive revenue drive to surpass Lagos State, which has the highest revenue-generating state with N535 billion in 2021 and a target of N980.6 billion in 2022.
The minister also stated that his administration has set aside N1 billion to renovate the National Mosque and National Ecumenical Center, ensuring that they remain accessible tourist destinations in the FCT.
