The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has named Nancy Sabanti Nathan as the Acting Head of Service, following the passing of her predecessor, Grace Adayilo.
The appointment was announced in a statement released Tuesday morning by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister.
Adayilo, who died last Monday, made history in October 2024 when President Bola Tinubu appointed her as the first female and first indigenous Head of Service of the FCTA.
Nathan will serve in an acting capacity until a permanent Head of Service is officially appointed, the statement noted.
“Mrs Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, has been appointed as Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA),” the statement partly read.
“She was appointed in an acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.
