Federal High Court mourns death of Justice Mohammed Yunusa

The Federal High Court on Saturday confirmed the death of serving judge Justice Mohammed Yunusa of the Kano judicial division.

The announcement was made in Abuja by the court’s Director of Information, Mrs Catherine-Oby Christopher, through an official statement.

Justice Yunusa reportedly passed away on Thursday following a short illness at the Kano State Medical Centre.

The statement noted that he had already been buried in line with Islamic rites.

“Justice M. N. Yunusa was a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.”

According to the FHC, the late judge’s outstanding service to the Bench and the legal profession would continue to be remembered.

The court added that his impact would remain deeply valued by fellow judges, members of the outer Bar, court personnel, and everyone who worked closely with him.

“The Chief Judge, judges, management, and staff of the Federal High Court extend their heartfelt condolences to his immediate family.

“We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” the statement added.
