FG evacuates another 175 stranded Nigerians from Uganda

The Federal Government has evacuated another 175 stranded Nigerians from Uganda.

Only recently, 177 were evacuated back home from the country.

This brings to 352 the number of stranded Nigerians since the evacuation exercise began following the global lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The latest arrival was announced by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) via a tweet.

The message reads: “175 Stranded Nigerians arrive the Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport, Abuja at about 1305HRS from Uganda, today Thursday 13th of August, 2020 via Galistair.

“They all tested Negative to #COVID__19 and will proceed on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated by @NCDCgov and PTF on #COVID-19.”
