On Monday, the residence of former Governor of Oyo State, late Adebayo Alao-Akala, in Ogbomoso, was gutted by fire, leaving one person dead and others injured.
The incidence was confirmed by a family member.
According to a family member, the fire was caused by a power surge between 7.30 and 8 a.m.
