The Bodija plank market in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital, has been destroyed by fire.
As of press time, the immediate origin of the fire was unknown, but the blaze may have destroyed homes worth millions of naira.
A combined effort of fire servicemen from both the federal and state governments are on the ground trying frantically to put out the fire.
There’s a heavy rainfall at the moment but rescue efforts are on nevertheless to put out the fire.
