Fire on Saturday razed down parts of the second market in the metropolis, Gamboru Market, in Borno State.
This comes exactly three weeks after a fire completely destroyed the state’s largest market, Monday Market, which is also located in the metropolis.
By 2:30 p.m., the fire had spread to the cooking oil section of the market.
Security agents, most of them soldiers, have been deployed to the scene, chasing away a massive influx of people and depriving everyone of entry.
An eye witness said that it broke out from timber and orange sellers sections.
