First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu visits Kano, meets Emir

The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived in Kano for a one-day official visit.

The State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, along with members of his cabinet, convened at the airport to receive the First Lady upon the arrival of the presidential jet carrying her and her entourage at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.

Subsequent to a brief ceremony at the airport, the First Lady’s convoy proceeded directly to the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, to extend courtesy greetings.

Furthermore, residents of the state were observed lining the streets to welcome the First Lady to their region.

The visit of the President’s wife to the state is primarily for the inauguration of a multi-purpose hall named in her honor at the Faculty of Law, Maryam Abacha American University, Kano campus.
