Five dead, one wounded in Ogun road crash

The Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun State Sector has confirmed the deaths of five people following a deadly incident in the early hours of Sunday.

According to the report, the accident included two automobiles, causing one person to be injured while two others were rescued unharmed.

According to Florence Okpe, the sector’s Route Commander and Public Education Officer, the suspected causes of the disaster were speed and wrongful overtaking on the part of the Honda automobile, which collided with the truck on the side.

According to her, the injured victim was taken to General Hospital in Ijebu-ode and the bodies were deposited at the same hospital morgue.

The Sector Commander Federal Roads Safety Corps Ogun Sector Command Anthony Uga described the crash as an avoidable one if caution was put in place.

He also advised motorists to stop making quick turns on the expressway and rather use the intersection or the proper turning point. Uga sympathised with the families of the victims and advised them to contact FRSC Ijebu-ode Command for more information about the crash.
