Five feared killed as suspected herdsmen attack Nimbo community in Enugu

Suspected herdsmen reportedly launched an attack on the Nimbo community in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State on Sunday evening, resulting in at least five fatalities and numerous injuries.

Reports indicate that the assailants targeted mourners in the Ugwuijoro Nimbo community, prompting people to flee in search of safety.

While the police have not yet issued a statement regarding this incident, local villagers have identified five bodies as victims of this heinous attack.

Nimbo in Uzo-Uwani LGA previously gained national attention in 2016 due to similar violent episodes where herders assaulted the community, resulting in numerous deaths and the displacement of an entire village.
