The Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal (FRSC), Dauda Ali Biu, has expressed shock and sadness over the death of a corps tow truck driver in a road traffic crash that occurred at the Karu bridge on the Nyanya-Maraba Expressway on Friday.
The Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, made a statement on Friday that the driver was towing a broken-down trailer from the crash scene when the incident happened.
The statement noted that an investigation into the crash found that four people were involved, three of whom sustained injuries and one of whom, the driver of the towing truck, was killed.
Biu, deeply saddened by the crash, offered his condolences to the management and staff of the corps over the loss of their colleague. He also prayed for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace.
He also ordered the immediate removal of any obstructions caused by the crash.
