The Ogun government has began distribution of its palliatives donated to the state to cushion the effects of removal of fuel subsidy by federal government.

Governor Dapo Abiodun flags off the distribution of the palliatives at the arcade ground of his office at Okemosan, Abeokuta.

While flagging off the initiative, Abiodun revealed that the government would distribute 300,000 10kg bags of rice to cushion the effects of subsidy removal to the citizens of Ogun State.

Abiodun disclosed that the bags of rice will be distributed through the 4,500 polling units in Ogun State and accordingly there would be no room for diversion or hoarding of the palliatives by anybody.

While commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the initiative, he however assured that the palliative will get to all parts of the state as all major stakeholders were present.

“The palliative will get to intended beneficiaries, irrespective of political parties”.

“I assured you that within one week, the people of the State would have felt the distribution of the palliatives”

Abidoun appreciated the residents of the State for their patience, while pleading with them to continue to be patient.
