The 16th President of Nigeria, Tinubu, declared in his inaugural address at Eagle Square in Abuja on Monday that the age of petroleum subsidies is over.

He claimed that there was no funding for petrol subsidy in the 2023 Budget and that they were no longer warranted.

He said that in order to develop the economy, his government would invest money in infrastructure and other areas.
that Tinubu will crack down on the oil merchants who are in default.

According to reports, his has led to panic buying in every part of the country with a litre of fuel selling for as much as N1,200 in Ebonyi state.
