On Tuesday, a loaded tanker crashed in the Costain area of Lagos.
According to reports, the tanker crashed as it crossed the Costain bridge on its way to Iponri.
While spilling fuel, the tanker blocked the main thoroughfare.
According to reports by the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency on Twitter, emergency services are on the scene and traffic is being diverted.
It said, “An Accident involving a loaded tanker happened while ascending the Costain Bridge in Iponri, blocking access to the road. “Counter-flow is now being adopted. Men on ground.
“Men of @LAG_FireService @LagosRescue are on ground, and our men are on ground adopting counter-flow in order to ensure traffic movement and safety of motorists and road users.”
