The 78th Emmy Awards have taken place in Los Angeles, with Widow’s Bay, The Pitt and DTF St. Louis emerging among the biggest winners of the night.
Widow’s Bay led the comedy categories, taking home the Outstanding Comedy Series award as well as three major acting prizes. The series also made history with a record 14 Emmy wins overall, the highest ever achieved by a comedy series in a single year.
The Pitt retained its Outstanding Drama Series title, while DTF St. Louis claimed the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
The ceremony was hosted by Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Matthew Rhys also made Emmy history after winning Lead Actor in both a comedy series, for Widow’s Bay, and a limited or anthology series or movie, for The Beast in Me.
