A Ghana Armed Forces helicopter crashed on Wednesday morning, killing all individuals on board.
The Z-9 helicopter lost contact during a flight from Accra to Obuasi, where the crew was headed for an official engagement.
Following the incident, Ghanaian President John Mahama suspended all official activities, calling the crash a national tragedy.
In honor of the victims, President Mahama ordered that flags be flown at half-mast.

3. Muniru Mohammed – Acting deputy, national security coordinator and former minister for food and agriculture
4. Samuel Sarpong – Vice-chairman, National Democratic Congress (NDC).
5. Samuel Aboagye – Former parliamentary candidate
6.Peter Baafemi Anala – Squadron leader
7. Manaen Twum Ampadu – Flying officer
8. Ernest Addo – Sergeant
President Bola Tinubu offered his condolences to the nation of Ghana and the families of the victims.1 He urged the bereaved to take comfort in the fact that their loved ones died while serving their country.
