The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Ayodele—close associates and members of boxing champion Anthony Joshua’s team—has been scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.
Their remains were returned to the United Kingdom after the fatal road accident in Nigeria that led to their deaths. The funeral prayer will commence at 10 a.m. at the London Central Mosque, situated at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
In a statement released on Saturday, Boxing King Media confirmed the details and expressed sympathy, stating, “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”
Ghami, who served as Joshua’s long-standing strength and conditioning coach, alongside Ayodele, his personal trainer, lost their lives in a car crash on December 29, 2025. Joshua was also involved in the incident but sustained only minor injuries. The crash occurred along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Makun, Ogun State, when the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua struck a parked truck.
The funeral in London will allow relatives, friends, and figures within the boxing community to honour and remember the two men who were instrumental to Joshua’s professional journey.
A representative of Boxing King Media further remarked, “Sina and Latz were more than colleagues—they were family to AJ. Their dedication, passion, and friendship will never be forgotten.”
