Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has appointed 1,270 executive aides.
Within 24 hours between Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, 2024, a total of 1,075 appointments were made.
In a press statement by Secretary to the State Government Gebon Kataps, it was announced that these appointees will serve as special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, constituency special assistants, or members of boards, commissions, and agencies of the Taraba government.
On Monday, the state government released 573 names and an additional 502 names on Tuesday night.
This brings the total number to 1,270, adding to the previously approved 195 appointees who are yet to be assigned portfolios.
These appointments are in addition to the five other cabinet members appointed with portfolios when Governor Kefas assumed office.
The state government has indicated that the appointments will be made in four phases, with the last batch of appointees still to come.
