The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas has approved a ₦175 million relief package to support the people and government of Borno State.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the funds will be allocated as follows: ₦100 million will go to the Government of Borno State to aid ongoing relief efforts for the flooding in the state; ₦50 million will be provided to the Taraba State community living in Borno to help them cope with the flood’s impact; and ₦25 million will be given to the Borno Emirate Council as a gesture of solidarity to help mitigate the effects of the flooding.
Additionally, relief materials, including bags of rice, vegetable oil, and blankets, have been dispatched to Borno State to assist those affected by the flooding.
