The Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has promised that security forces are working tirelessly to rescue the kidnapped students of the Federal University Gusau.
He also pledged to ensure sufficient security within the university community, creating a safe environment for students to pursue their academic activities without any apprehension of potential attacks.
The governor made this commitment on Thursday while personally inspecting the security situation on the university campus and its surrounding areas, following the abduction of more than 30 female students in the Sabon Gida community.
Lawal, who was out of the state when the incident occurred, promptly visited the Federal University, Gusau upon his return to assess the situation and receive updates from the school’s administration. The goal was to collaboratively enhance the security infrastructure at the university.
He spoke to the students for a while, encouraging them not to let this difficult situation discourage them from continuing their studies.
