Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has appointed one commissioner, three special advisers, 90 senior special assistants, and 910 special assistants.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Ebenezer Adeniyan, chief press secretary (CPS) to Aiyedatiwa, said the governor nominated Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba, who hails from Akoko north-west LGA, as commissioner for special duties.
According to the CPS, the name of the commissioner nominee will be forwarded to the Ondo state house of assembly.
Adeniyan said the appointments were made “towards strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery to the people of Ondo state.”
Other appointees are Abimbola Fajolu (Ileoluji-Okeigbo LGA), special adviser on environment; Ade Adeniyi (Ondo West LGA), special adviser on rural and community development; and Muyiwa Ogunyemi (Akoko north-east LGA), special adviser on transport.
The 90 senior special assistants (SSAs) include Toyin Ogungbure, SSA women mobilisation (south); Bidemi Obayangbon, SSA forestry; Gboluge Olufunmi Alex, SSA community engagement (south); Akin Adeniyi, SSA community engagement (central); Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, SSA community engagement (north); Kelvin Solomon, SSA students affairs; Adeolu Iwakun, SSA volunteer services; and Samson Job Bazuaye, SSA oil and gas.
Others are Fade Ojamomi, SSA youth empowerment and job creation; Sam Adepoju, SSA public engagement; Samad Orijeminiyi, SSA scholarship; Victor Omodara, SSA grassroots mobilisation; Abayomi Adefolalu, SSA photography; Abdukadiri Adenoyi, SSA non-indigenes; Nzuoma Egbulefu, SSA non-indigenes; and Garba Goni, SSA non-indigenes.
Adeniyan said the full list of senior special assistants and special assistants will be released later.
The CPS said the appointments take immediate effect.
