Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has dissolved the state executive council, as announced in a statement by the Secretary to the Governor, Eno Uwah, on Friday.

The statement instructed all Honourable Commissioners and Special Advisers to hand over their duties to the Permanent Secretaries or, where applicable, the most Senior Director. Uwah conveyed the governor’s gratitude to the outgoing members for their service and contributions to the state’s development.
The governor wished them well in their future endeavours, though no timeline was given for the reconstitution of the executive council.
