Gunmen have once again struck in Ondo State, abducting three members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Akure North Local Government Area.

The abduction reportedly occurred on Monday evening as the victims were returning from a Bible study session in the Kasemola area of Ogbese community.

A message from the church leadership confirmed the development, stating: “Good morning, beloved. Kindly pray along with us. Three of our members were kidnapped yesterday after bible study at Kasemola inside the Ogbese axis.”

The incident has sparked fear across the community, with church members calling for prayers for the safe return of their fellow worshippers.

Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Olushola Ayanlade, confirmed the incident during a phone conversation with newsmen. He said a joint team comprising police detectives, the Nigerian Army, and Amotekun operatives has launched a bush combing operation to rescue the victims.

He urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies in their efforts to secure the hostages’ release.
