Gunmen kill three Vigilantes, civilian in Imo

The Imo State Police Command has confirmed the murder of three vigilante personnel and one civilian by gunmen in the Umuaka autonomous community in the Njaba local government area.

In a statement, the command’s spokesman, Henry Okoye, conveyed the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma’s condemnation of the incident. He announced that the command’s tactical squad, along with other security agencies, has been deployed to hunt down the perpetrators.

CP Danjuma expressed his sadness over the incident and vowed to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. He extended his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the repose of their souls.

He also urged the public, especially residents of Njaba, to provide any information that could help apprehend the culprits, encouraging them to report such information to the nearest police station.
