Gunmen assassinated a traditional leader in Sagamu, Ogun State’s Sagamu Local Government Area.
On Tuesday, the dead, known as High Chief Bashorun Abiofin, was shot by three unidentified assailants.

Confirming the occurrence while visiting the crime scene, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, said that the command has begun investigations to determine what caused the high chief’s death.
“I have just returned from Sagamu, it is true, we are suspecting murder and we are on top of it,” he went on to say.
“We are trying to unravel the mystery behind the death. “I just got back from the scene in Sagamu.”
