Kafayat Adeleke, the mother of Eniola, the physically challenged hawker, says her son has been disguising himself as a woman to make money since 2018.

The hawker started to gain attention after Brain Jotter, the skit maker, shared a video of their encounter.

The content creator also gifted Eniola the sum of N400,000 to start up his makeup business after he learned that he is also a makeup artist.

Eniola’s identity was afterward exposed by a blogger who identified him as a man “who disguises himself as a woman to deceive people into giving him money”.

After his bubbles burst, the embattled hawker confirmed dresses like a woman to make money because he was “abused and disowned by my family members as a child despite my condition”.

In a recent interview, Eniola’s mother, however, denied Eniola’s claims. She said Eniola is “the favourite among my children”.

The woman said he began earning money by crossdressing in Osogbo, Osun but relocated to Lagos in 2020 when they tried to stop him.

“Sultan was never born a female; he was born with a deformity, and this was one of the reasons why I even like him,” she said.

“He started disguising himself as a woman in Osogbo. That was 2018. He runs away every time we try to stop him.

“He always stopped me from calling him Sultan, but Eniola except that he would desist from taking my calls.

“It was 2020 when he went to Lagos to start asking for help from people while acting as a girl to appeal to the general public to help him.

“You can come to Osogbo to confirm; he is my favourite among my children. I love him because it was because of him that people love me while sympathising with his physical condition. That claim is something that makes me sober when I am asked or told.

“There was a day he got angry and said he was no longer interested in staying with me again and that was how he ran to Lagos.”

She also disclosed that Eniola was born in 2005.
