He was there with fans, not inside bulletproof cabin – Charly Boy applauds Peter Obi for attending Super Eagles game

Renowned musician, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, praises Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for his presence in the fan stands during Nigeria’s 1-0 triumph against Angola in the ongoing African Cup of Nations on Friday.

Obi was in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire, according to reports, for the Super Eagles’ quarterfinal matchup with Angola.

In response, Charly praised the former governor of Anambra State on Saturday for being outside in the fan stand rather than inside “a bulletproof cabin.”

Sharing a clip of Obi at the fans stand during the match, Charly Boy wrote: “Nigeria vs Angola Quarter Finals, he was there live with fans, not inside a bulletproof cabin. 1-0. We move.”
