Heavy downpour as Makinde takes oath of office for second term

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State was sworn in for a second term on Monday, as the tagline of his second term implies, “Omititun 2.0,” despite a severe downpour that is now delaying the inauguration.

The governor’s second term inauguration was held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, and was attended by a large number of his political connections, friends, and family.

As of the time of writing, security personnel were strategically stationed at the inauguration site to prevent a breakdown in law and order.
