The Israeli military reported that the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah fired approximately 320 projectiles from Lebanon into Israel during Yom Kippur, Judaism’s holiest day, which concluded at nightfall on Saturday.
“Over the Yom Kippur weekend, around 320 projectiles launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organization crossed from Lebanon into Israel,” the military stated.
In a separate announcement, the military confirmed that two additional projectiles were detected crossing from northern Gaza towards the city of Ashkelon. However, they landed in an unpopulated area.
