Hoodlums vandalise Bank, raze Security Vehicle in Kaduna

On Monday, individuals posing as protesters vandalized a branch of a new generation bank in Tudun Wada, located in Kaduna South Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

This incident was confirmed by Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson for the State Police Command.

Hassan reported that the perpetrators broke into the bank, stole valuables, and damaged several vehicles parked on the premises. He also dismissed rumors that a police armored personnel carrier (APC) had been seized by the violent protesters. According to Hassan, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, the driver of the APC managed to navigate through the crowd, avoiding confrontation since the vehicle was carrying live ammunition and could not use maximum force.

In addition, the police confirmed that hoodlums had set fire to a security patrol vehicle belonging to the Kaduna State Vigilance Service in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area, and had also burned down the Zaria office of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA).
