The House of Representatives has suspended its plenary in honor of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who passed away during the National Assembly’s annual recess.

This gesture aligns with the National Assembly’s tradition of suspending its first sitting following the death of a federal lawmaker.

Plenary will resume on Wednesday, September 25th.

Senator Ubah reportedly passed away after traveling to the UK for surgery.

He would have turned 53 on September 3rd.
