How Army arrested bandits’ ammunition supplier in Kaduna

Nigerian Army, acting on credible intelligence, has laid ambush on bandits’ arms and ammunition suppliers at Chikun and Kajuru Local Council of Kaduna State along Kwant – Kabai – Kubusu, and recovered dangerous weapons.

The Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 1 Division Nigerian Army, Lt Col. Musa Yahyah, said the operation was part of the Nigerian Army’s  effort to clear bandits, terrorists and other criminal elements from Kaduna forests.

He said: “During the operation, one bandit was neutralised while others fled in disarray with gunshot injuries due to troops overwhelming firepower. One AK 47 rifle, one magazine, veterinary medicine and clothing were recovered.

“The General Officer Commanding 1 Division NA and Force Commander operation WHIRL PUNCH, Major General Valentine Okoro has again commended the troops for their resilience and implored the locals to continue availing the NA and other security agencies with timely and credible intelligence.”
