Dennis Idahosa, a member of the House of Representatives, was proclaimed the victor of the governorship primary election for the All Progressives Congress that was held in Edo State on Saturday.
With a cumulative tally of 40,483 votes, he was elected as the APC candidate for the governorship election in the state on September 21.
Governor of Imo State and chairperson of the APC primary election committee, Hope Uzodimma, declared the Idahosa the candidate of the party upon announcing the results. Among the nine candidates, she received the most votes.
He said there was a mix-up on where the secretariat of the committee was, noting that the Protea Hotel and not the Lushville Hotel, where results were announced earlier today, was the authentic secretariat.
