IGP meets police service commission chairman, Arase

On Monday, Solomon Arase, a former IGP and the new chair of the Police Service Commission, met with Usman Baba, the inspector general of police.

According to reports, the two sides met at the PSC conference room at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja to discuss ways to strengthen their mutual relationship as well as to find new opportunities for collaboration.

Speaking with press after the meeting, IGP Baba revealed that his visit will strengthen ties between the police and PSC as well as the nation’s security condition.

Baba said, “I am at the Police Service Commission to congratulate the assumption to office of the new chairman, IGP Solomon Arase (retd.).

“When there is proper leadership, guidance, sense of direction, discipline, promotion, appointment, people will be motivated to do the right thing”.
