In the wake of ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi’s recent elevation to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police, the Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, PhD, has once again entrusted him with the role of Force Public Relations Officer.
This strategic decision is grounded in the issuance of a recent internal communication, bearing reference number TH.5361/FS/FHQ/ABJ/V.4/649, dated 8th August 2023, originating from the office of the Force Secretary.
Holding an esteemed place in the alumni ranks of the University of Ibadan, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi pursued a course of study that intertwined Archaeology and Geography, resulting in a Combined Honours degree.
Complementing this academic feat, he also holds a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the same venerable institution.
His professional journey has been marked by pivotal roles, including his tenure as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) within the Ogun State Command from 2008 to 2016, his subsequent role as PPRO at Zone 2 Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos in 2016, and his more recent appointments, such as PPRO for the Lagos State Police Command from September 2020 to August 2021, and as Deputy Force Public Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters in Abuja during 2021.
Most recently, he had been fulfilling the role of Force Public Relations Officer before his recent reappointment.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi’s professional affiliations span a diverse array of esteemed organisations, underscoring his commitment to excellence.
He is an active member of distinguished bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), the Pointman Leadership Institute in the USA, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in the USA, and the Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria.
In light of this reappointment, the Inspector-General of Police charges this seasoned officer to build upon his notable accomplishments.
