President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to building a Nigeria that serves the interests of all its citizens.
While in Lagos for the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the President made this pledge during a visit to Lagos Island on Friday.
He emphasized that his administration remains dedicated to a people-focused approach to governance.
He wrote in a statement shared on his X handle “People are at the heart of our mission. Thank you, Lagos Island, for the warm and rapturous welcome this afternoon.
“I appreciate your support, which further fuels my determination to create a brighter future for a Nigeria that works for everyone—one we will all be proud to call our country.”
He asked the masses to cooperate with him in creating a better country.
“We must work and pray together for a better country.”
President Tinubu has faced criticism since assuming office in May 2023 for his numerous economic policies, chief among being the removal of fuel subsidies, and tax reforms.
