An Inspector from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) stationed in the Seme Area Command, Mr. Owolabi Adebola, along with two others, tragically lost their lives in a traffic accident on the Seme-Badagry Expressway.
The Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Badagry, Mr. Williams Manga, revealed that a car crash occurred on the Seme-Badagry Expressway in Nigeria on Wednesday evening around 4:30 pm, near Sultan Beach in Badagry.
According to the unit commander, the command received an emergency call at 4:31 p.m., and they arrived at the scene precisely at 4:36 p.m.
“The accident involved one green Toyota Camry with Registration number KTU 519 HN with four passengers and the driver.
“The immigration officer and two other passengers died instantly while the driver and one other sustained injuries.
“The injured ones were taken to General Hospital Badagry while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the hospital mortuary,” he said.
He explained that the accident resulted from the driver’s excessive speeding. Consequently, he appealed to all motorists to observe speed limits and regularly inspect their vehicles to promptly identify and replace any faults.
