A journalist from Imo State, Chidiebube Okeoma, has expressed deep concern and called for a comprehensive investigation by the state police command into the horrifying killing of his mother, Mrs. Patricia Okeoma, allegedly by Amos Ike.

In a formal complaint submitted to Imo State’s Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, Okeoma expressed his frustration, highlighting that the Okigwe Police Division was ill-equipped to handle the prosecution of the case.

He has already requested the prompt transfer of the case documentation to the Criminal Investigation Department within the state’s Police Command.

He is adamant about relocating the case file to the state CID to ensure a comprehensive inquiry into the alleged assassination of his mother.

The formal petition, signed by his attorney, Uche Nwoha, expressed dismay over the incident involving Amos Ike, who, on August 24, reportedly fatally struck his mother, Mrs. Patricia Okeoma, while she was returning from a funeral service in Anara, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, along the Okigwe-Owerri Road.

Chidiebube Okeoma said that Amos Ike followed his mother on the road in his RX Lexus vehicle and intentionally hit her with the car as part of a ritualistic plan.

Ike then fled the scene and went into hiding for five days, while Okeoma’s mother died from her injuries.

According to his argument, Ike purposely caused the car to collide.
