United Nigeria Airlines announced on Monday that it removed well-known social media figures, Martins Otse (popularly called VeryDarkMan) and Freedom Atsepoyi (known as Mr Jollof), from Flight UN0523 after a dispute erupted during boarding at Asaba International Airport in Delta State.

A viral video circulating online captured both influencers in a heated argument inside the aircraft shortly before departure.

In a statement issued by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, United Nigeria confirmed the incident and stated that the crew took prompt action to contain the situation.

According to Uloka, the flight crew intervened “immediately and professionally,” ensuring the safety of all passengers.

Both men were asked to disembark and were handed over to airport security officials for further action.

“In line with global aviation safety procedures, our crew promptly de-escalated the situation. Both individuals were removed from the aircraft without delay to safeguard the comfort and security of all passengers and crew.

“They were subsequently transferred to airport security for further investigation.

“United Nigeria Airlines maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that may compromise safety.
