President Bola Tinubu convened a meeting with service chiefs and other high-ranking officials from security agencies at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday.

The service chiefs, including the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, had arrived earlier and awaited the President’s arrival from an external State House function.

President Bola Tinubu, along with the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, is expected to address the increasing challenges of terrorism, kidnapping, and violence across the nation during the meeting.

Simultaneously, on January 15, 2024, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, conducted a crucial meeting with the Force Management Team and Tactical Squads to tackle the escalating concerns regarding insecurity in the country.

The IGP expressed profound concern over the regrettable abductions in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and underscored the imperative for decisive action to counter such heinous crimes.
