JUST IN: Adamu, APC senators in closed-door meeting
Adamu Abdullahi, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, is currently having a meeting with the senators who are affiliated with the party.
After arriving at the National Assembly building a few minutes after 2:00 p.m., Adamu went straight to the office of Ahmed Lawan, who is the President of the Senate, for a quick meeting before the general assembly.
Earlier, Lawan made the announcement while reading the letter that was signed by Ajayi Borofice, who serves as the Senate’s Deputy Majority Leader. He stated that the meeting will take place on the premises at 2:00 pm.
The number of senators affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) is said to have fallen to 62 as a result of the continuous defection of the party’s lawmakers, particularly those who were unable to win return tickets to the chamber.
