Members of the University of Abuja chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have declared an indefinite strike concerning union-related developments.
The announcement came after a congress meeting held on Thursday at the university’s permanent site.

The UniAbuja ASUU members have been in conflict with the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’allah, and the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, regarding the process for appointing a new Vice-Chancellor.
This contention follows an advertisement published in a national newspaper on March 15, 2024, calling for applications to replace Na’Allah.
