President Muhammadu Buhari has requested the ratification of seven ministerial nominations in a letter to the Senate.
Henry Ikechukwu represents Abia State, Umana Okon Umana represents Akwa-Ibom State, Ekuma Joseph represents Ebonyi State, Goodluck Nana Obia represents Imo State, Umar Ibrahim Yakub represents Kano State, Ademola Adewole Adegorioye represents Ondo State, and Odo Udi represents Rivers State.
However, the Senate has not yet set a date for the screening process.
In the meantime, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has chosen Senator Philip Aduda to fill the seat left empty by Senator Enyinnaya Abariba’s defection as the new minority leader.
In addition, the party selected Senator Chukwuka Utazi as the new minority whip in the Senate.
